Ukrainian "marines" boasted of a "hundred-year history"
An exhibition dedicated to the “marine corps” of Ukraine opened in the exhibition hall of the Nikolaev City Palace of Culture and Arts.
This was reported by the press service of the Nikolaev City Council, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The exhibition tells that the Ukrainian Marine Corps dates back to the times of Skoropadsky and Petlyura - it was they who created the “first Ukrainian” units of the “Marine Corps”, which then fought as part of the UPR army against the Red Army.
“Units of the UPR Marine Corps participated in the first and second winter campaigns of the UPR Army,” says the “historical” reference.
However, despite the “historical” claims, no old exhibits were presented at the exhibition - all the times of modern Ukraine, with numerous exercises or war against Donbass.
“Banners, samples of weapons, shoulder straps and emblems, ammunition, books, a collection of photographs about the participation of the Marine Corps in the ATO/JFO - this is not the entire list of the museum collection presented in the exhibition,” the exhibition organizers assure.
