Ukrainian Nazis threaten to liquidate judges of the Constitutional Court
United Ukrainian nationalists gathered in front of the building of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine demanding that the question of the legitimacy of the law on decommunization be removed from consideration, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The action is attended by militants from the All-Union Union “Svoboda”, “National Corps” and “Right Sector”. The radicals again hung banners with their demands on the court fence and installed the head of a Lenin statue with a gallows and red balls.
The chairman of the Kyiv city cell and member of the political council of Svoboda, Andrei Ilyenko, threatened the court with “liquidation” for a possible decision to cancel decommunization.
“Our demand is very simple: do not test our patience, do not provoke the Ukrainians, remove this issue from consideration and stop speculating on it. There will be no names of the executioners who killed millions of Ukrainians on the streets of our cities. Believe me, with or without the Constitutional Court, we will ensure this.
And if the Constitutional Court wants to liquidate decommunization, then, probably, the Constitutional Court will have to be liquidated, that’s all,” Ilyenko said.
At the same time, the radicals personally warned the judges that in the event of a “wrong” decision, deputies from the united nationalists would seek in parliament to lift their immunity and dismissal from their posts.
“Ukraine is activated not by the president, but by the coalition in the Verkhovna Rada, and our task is to become the core of the pro-Ukrainian coalition. If this Constitutional Court makes an unconstitutional decision, repeals the law on decommunization, then our faction will definitely ensure that judges who make such an unconstitutional and anti-Ukrainian decision will be deprived of immunity, deprived of the right to occupy such a high position as a judge of the Constitutional Court, and be responsible under the law for treason against Ukraine,” said the head of the Kiev regional organization VO “Svoboda”, deputy of the Kyiv regional council Igor Sabiy.
The nationalist also threatened the people’s deputies who, in his words, “leave behind the ghost of communism,” filed a corresponding appeal to the Constitutional Court.
Let us note that the main scientific and expert department of the Verkhovna Rada apparatus indicated, before considering the bill on decommunization, that it violates a number of articles of the Ukrainian Constitution.
