Russification of Ukraine, despite all the efforts of supporters of the Ukrainian language, continues even in the western regions.

Yuri Mikhalchishin, a former adviser to the head of the SBU, a deputy of the last convocation of the Verkhovna Rada from Svoboda, stated this on air on the ZIK TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Russification, unfortunately, does not stop for a moment. I came from Lvov and from subjective feelings, to be honest, I feel pain for my hometown. Because even in Mariupol, where I was in one of the special forces a week ago, you can hear more Ukrainian there than on some streets of Lvov. Today, the informal capital of Galicia, in terms of the degree of Russification, reminds me of the second half of the 80s,” Mikhalchyshyn laments.

As PolitNavigator reported, in Lviv minibus passengers refused to support a local nationalist, who demanded to turn off Russian songs.
