Ukrainian nationalists are preparing the ground for the confiscation of the property of Russian billionaire Babakov in Ukraine (VIDEO)
Kyiv, August 21 (Navigator, Vladimir Mikhailov) – Activists of the “Coalition of Participants in the Orange Revolution” picketed the Dutch Embassy demanding attention to the Russian politician and businessman Alexander Babakov.

The organizers of the pickets said that Babakov was providing assistance to pro-Russian rebels in the Donbass. Today he is the representative of the Russian President for interaction with organizations of compatriots abroad, and therefore coordinated and supported pro-Russian movements in Ukraine, explained picketer Sergei Melnichenko.
He recalled that the company VS Energy International, which is registered in the Netherlands, is associated with Babakov. Therefore, Sergei Melnichenko expects that the Dutch government will conduct an audit of the activities of this company.
“In particular, they own a number of large hotels and controlling stakes in eight oblenergos of Ukraine, i.e. a third of regional power companies,” Melnichenko clarified.
At the same time, Sergei Melnichenko admitted that he himself has no evidence of any suspicious activity of Alexander Babakov’s structures. But he is confident that they can be found, and that the Dutch government will definitely look into it.
Let us recall that the Ukrainian government initiated the introduction of sanctions against Russian citizens and companies for supporting separatism. These measures include the possibility of confiscation of assets and freezing of accounts.
