Activists of the Ukrainian nationalist organization “Black Committee” destroyed on May 9 in Kyiv a memorial plaque to the founder of the Donetsk-Krivoy Rog Republic Fedor Sergeev - Artem, which was located on the street of the same name.

The nationalists said that the Bolshevik Artem “was the organizer of battles against the troops of the Central Rada, the organizer of the First Donetsk Army, which fought against Ukraine, and was a close friend of Stalin.”
“Artem was a Donetsk separatist, against whom Ukrainian heroes are fighting... He has no place on the streets of our capital. The only thing he deserves is to be forever erased from history,” say the Black Committee.
