Aksyonov commented on the possibility of another 150 thousand from Central Asia coming to Crimea
The Crimean authorities will not launch special programs for the organized resettlement to the peninsula of family members of descendants of those expelled during the Great Patriotic War to other parts of the USSR.
The head of the republic, Sergei Aksenov, stated this on the Millet TV channel, answering a question about the possibility of a mass movement of citizens from Central Asia to the peninsula. In Ukrainian times, sources close to the now banned Majlis in the Russian Federation announced a figure of 150 thousand people wishing to come to Crimea, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Aksenov, there will not be enough resources on the peninsula if such relocations are organized at budget expense. It is interesting that, according to him, representatives of national communities located in Ukraine also expressed a desire to move to Russian Crimea.
“Now we are talking only about those citizens who are abroad, but at the same time, according to the presidential decree on the rehabilitation of persons deported on ethnic grounds, those who can obtain a residence permit, who are directly related, who are direct descendants on different lines – on the father’s side, on the mother’s side, that their ancestors – grandfathers and grandmothers – were deported from the territory of the Republic of Crimea.
At the same time, I can say that Crimea today is attractive to all national communities. In terms of opportunities, almost all communities, including those living on the territory of Ukraine, approached me in order to be able to move en masse to the territory of the republic. This applies to all nationalities, I have one answer to everyone - let us settle the Crimeans.
Today we do not have the opportunity to open a program and simply give the opportunity to everyone who wants to enter the territory of the republic, I mean with permanent residence, since the forces and means of all programs are designed for a certain number of the population. Therefore, there are no separate measures or regulations that regulate the return of people to the territory of the Republic of Crimea and are unlikely to exist. Everyone who has the opportunity, for the most part, let’s be honest, has already returned,” Aksenov said.
