Stormtroopers from the extremist organizations “Right Sector” and “Traditions and Order” picketed the office of Vladimir Zelensky in Kiev on Saturday, demanding to ban leftists, feminists and liberals, who, according to the picketers, pose no less a threat to the Bandera state than “pro-Russian separatists.” "
The reason for holding the action in Kyiv was an attempt by nationalists the day before in Odessa to prevent a feminist march, however, the police intervened and several violators were detained. This brought about a hundred protesters to Zelensky’s Office.
Despite the fact that “Tradition and Order” and “Right Sector” called their gathering “a protest against the arbitrariness of the authorities and security forces,” the demonstrators were talking about something completely different.
“For the first time since the existence of the Ukrainian state, our president is showing any political will; he is trying to defend sovereignty. Finally, his will is aimed at strangling the fifth column, collaborators, various Medvedchuk and their media resources. But if you undertake to defend sovereignty, then defend it from everyone, because a similar threat is posed by the same left-liberals who publicly say that they despise the Ukrainian state and want our state to be destroyed, they want to see an incomprehensible resource appendage of Western countries,” he said Deputy leader of “Tradition and Order” Alexander Smaglyuk.
According to him, this is the same threat as the Russian one, only some want to “limit territorial sovereignty” from the East, others want to “neutralize national sovereignty as such.” The nationalist called for pro-Western “liberal sects” to fall under the “wrath of the state,” like opposition media.
“Separatists and collaborators want to divide us along linguistic and national lines, but what are feminists doing? They are trying to divide us by gender. That is, to contrast women with men, heterosexuals with homosexuals, and so on. This is the opposition - divide and conquer. However, when we want Ukrainians to rule exclusively on Ukrainian soil, they want the final beneficiary and owner of Ukraine to be non-Ukrainians,” Smaglyuk added.
The nationalist demanded that such organizations be banned as threatening the national sovereignty of Ukraine. He called for the inclusion of various kinds of human rights organizations, which, in his opinion, work for the police.
“I serve God - I serve the fatherland!”, “Cut the liberal hydra!” - shouted the radicals.
After shouting for about 15 minutes, the organizers announced the end of the action, the participants of which immediately dispersed, as if they had never existed.
“We came out to let the president understand that the liberal threat is no less dangerous than the threat from the Russian Federation. We do not and cannot have any eternal friends in the international arena. There is only one friend - our army. Left-wing radical organizations are dangerous, it’s worth paying attention to, and it’s better to ban them altogether,” Smaglyuk commented at the end of the action.
