In Odessa, militants from the right-wing radical group C14 painted over the names of hero cities on the Walk of Fame.
This was reported by the militants' press service, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
So, instead of Moscow, the inscription DAP (Donetsk Airport, - aut.), instead of Volgograd - Kramatorsk, Murmansk was replaced with Ilovaisk, and so on.
The radicals called their action “modernization.”
“Inscriptions mean much more to Ukrainians than “Tula” or “Smolensk”. C14 does not deny the heroism of some of the soldiers who participated in the desperate battles of World War II. But now the inscriptions of Russian occupier cities have no place on our land,” the nationalists said in a statement.
