Ukrainian Nazis took revenge on Odessa under the cover of darkness
Residents of Odessa on Sunday held a rally in honor of the 74th anniversary of the liberation of the Ukrainian SSR from the Nazi invaders. And with the onset of darkness, Ukrainian Nazis came to the city center to desecrate the site of mass burning of people in the House of Trade Unions, where relatives still regularly come for memorial events.
According to activist Ibrahim Moris, in the morning Odessa residents laid flowers on the Walk of Fame, demonstratively holding the ceremony separately from the official event of officials.
“Ukraine and I have different ideas today about this holiday with the authorities. We cannot stand next to government officials who believe that the Red Army is an occupier; we cannot stand next to government officials who say that these are not liberators, but occupiers. We cannot stand next to those who say that Stalin, not Hitler, started the war. If we stand next to them, it means that we practically share their point of view. Whatever the mayor, whatever the governor, this is a representative of the authorities. We cannot stand next to those who completely exclude the phrase “Great Patriotic War,” Maurice said.
A few hours later, as darkness fell, young men from the Nazi group C14 took to the streets of Odessa. They came to the Kulikovo Field to the House of Trade Unions, where in May 2014, militants brought in on orders from the Ukrainian authorities burned alive dozens of Odessa residents who were opponents of Euromaidan.
“We took a walk and showed the young people the place where Odessa defended its right to be called Ukrainian. After the visit, separatist symbols and inscriptions disappeared. But new, correct ones appeared,” reported C14.
