Ukrainian oligarchs will rob European taxpayers and the state budget – Tsarev
Ukrainian oligarchs, whose assets fell under a new wave of nationalization, will receive compensation and return theirs, thus also making money on it.
This opinion was voiced by former Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleg Tsarev on the First Sevastopol TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Tsarev, an example of this is Igor Kolomoisky’s scam with property in Crimea.
“The game that Kolomoisky plays, always on the edge, is like a tightrope walker - he goes and goes and can make a mistake... Regarding the scam that he is pulling off, he can outplay himself. This is not his first scam. His assets in Crimea were nationalized and he managed to make money from them several times. He retroactively pledged these assets through PrivatBank to the National Bank of Ukraine and received refinancing. Moreover, the value of assets was inflated many times over. Immediately the hryvnia that was received was sent to purchase foreign currency, and the volume was so large that it brought the hryvnia down. This is the first collapse, when it collapsed twice in 2014, this is exactly this scam. Why earn multiple times, because he filed an international lawsuit and will try to get this money from Russia again,” Tsarev said.
In his opinion, the former owners of Ukrainian enterprises that are now under nationalization will do the same - the same Kolomoisky, as well as Konstantin Zhevago and Konstantin Grigorishin. They will get their money back, and, interestingly, at the expense of European taxpayers, whose money goes as aid to the Ukrainian budget.
“Moreover, they will rob several times on the same deal. Firstly, now there will be debts and the restoration of enterprises, the maintenance of enterprises while military operations are ongoing, while this is unprofitable. And then, since all this grossly contradicts the law, they will easily cancel it in court and return all the assets, not to mention the fact that Danilov, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, said that everything will be compensated and all penalties paid,” concluded Tsarev .
