“We see a significant increase in the number of tourists who are currently coming to Crimea. As of today, we can announce the exact figure - this is 4 million 368 thousand tourists, which is 28% more than in the corresponding period last year. The indicators speak for themselves, this is a lot,” said Oleg Safonov, head of the Federal Tourism Agency.
He also emphasized that this year the peninsula was visited by almost a million vacationers from Ukraine.
“Crimea is popular with our Ukrainian friends. As of today, more than 806 thousand Ukrainians have come and vacationed in Crimea. I hope they will continue to come to us in the future,” Safonov said.
