“This could lead to the penetration of criminal elements into Russian territory, as well as people from countries with increased terrorist activity,” the message says.

According to the FSB, this year more than two and a half million people crossed the border with Ukraine at checkpoints, with 250 thousand of them registered in the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.

The latter use Ukrainian passports for travel, since Russian passports of Crimeans are not recognized in Ukraine.

“It is necessary to increase the number of video cameras at some checkpoints, as well as to develop the surrounding area. These issues can be closed by the end of the year. The main thing is that there should not be a social explosion here. Because every second person has relatives in Ukraine. It is necessary to discuss all the issues again, come to a common opinion, report to the Head and, after its approval, send the information to Moscow,” said Deputy Prime Minister Igor Mikhailichenko.

In the spring, the SBU reported that ISIS was using Ukraine to legalize its members. Members of this organization buy unnecessary Ukrainian passports from Crimeans, remake them, travel to Ukraine, where they issue biometric passports for visa-free trips to Europe.

There were 4 people in the criminal group. As a result of the searches, 10 migration cards, 15 visas of Arab states, 4 stamps of the State Migration Service, 8 passports of Ukrainian citizens-residents of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea were seized.
