Yulia Tymoshenko (Batkivshchyna) stated this at a meeting of the Conciliation Council of faction leaders and chairmen of committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Our organizations across Ukraine in recent weeks have received dozens of calls from pensioners throughout Ukraine, people are outraged to such an extent that just someone is crying into the phone, someone is swearing, someone wants to go somewhere and do something with this government... So unfair, A “reform” so tendentious, so humiliating in quotation marks, must be re-discussed by parliament. Parliament is obliged to become an initiator and assemble a special group,” she said.
According to Tymoshenko, pensioners are now in a state of deep shock after this reform. People have been robbed, and inflation eats up every day every penny that is even paid to these pensioners. Inflation is a consequence of collusion, the joint dirty work of the president and the head of the NBU. Today the last income of people is being killed through the hryvnia. People were deceived by saying that they would receive some fantastic pensions. In fact, most pensioners received essentially nothing, a pittance that does not even cover inflation,” she said.
