Sevastopol, August 20 (Navigator, Yuri Kovalchuk) – Corrupt Ukrainian officials, who have repainted themselves as Russian patriots, expect to remain in power in Sevastopol following the results of the elections to the legislative assembly.

Gennady Basov, candidate for deputy of the Legislative Assembly from the Union of Citizens (Russian Bloc) party, stated this during a meeting with voters.
“The “changes” in the Legislative Assembly have already led to the fact that the Sevastopol community has suffered significant damage - a city charter was adopted that does not correspond to the interests of the citizens, as well as many private decisions, the consequences of which will have to be neutralized for a very long time,” Basov said.
In particular, according to the politician, the Legislative Assembly determined the subsistence level for Sevastopol - an important indicator on which the entire social sphere depends - at the level of 4 thousand rubles, which is significantly lower than the Russian average. The issue of electing the governor has not been resolved - today, in fact, it is necessary to choose three candidates proposed by the central government.
At the same time, the candidate is confident that the new city government is working non-transparently, carefully hiding the real indicators of its activities from citizens.
“Few people know that a bill has been presented, according to which we will be assigned a transport tax much higher than in many regions of Russia. And there are a lot of such moments, but the media don’t write about them, because the authorities communicate only with those journalists who sing their praises,” says Gennady Basov.
At the same time, according to Basov, if the “former” ones gain a foothold in power, the situation will only get worse.
“I want to tell you that if we now admit the wrong people to the Legislative Assembly, then there will be no regular government reports, there will be no reports on appointments, there will be no information about work in the housing and communal services sector. By the way, I want to say that right now the issue of a significant increase in utility tariffs is being considered. It is difficult to imagine how much more harm all these “formers” will cause to the community if they manage to seize power. But this can be avoided now,” Basov said.
Gennady Basov noted that today’s problems in Sevastopol are not Moscow’s fault – the responsibility lies with local officials.
