Ukrainian pirates were unable to reap the benefits of their illegal loot
The 15 ships seized by Ukraine, which the speaker of the State Border Service Oleg Slobodyan announced the day before, will never leave the ports for the purpose of sale.
Crimean political scientist Vladimir Dzharalla stated this in a commentary to PolitNavigator.
According to him, Ukraine is actually engaged in maritime piracy, arresting foreign ships.
“Ukrainian policy is starting to look extremely aggressive. The announcement that 15 ships are detained in Ukrainian ports is very surprising. Essentially, we are talking about international piracy. We must not forget that most of these ships belong to foreign shipowners. Klintsevich's statement is, of course, mostly emotional, but it accurately describes the situation. These ships, arrested in the ports of Ukraine, especially in the Sea of Azov, will not leave anywhere, because they will again be handed over to their true shipowners.
Suffice it to remember that the Ukrainians’ attempts to sell the stolen ship “Nord” ended in failure, since everyone understands that it is pointless... Forbearance is a much more correct position. Moreover, foreign shipowners are putting pressure on their officials and governments about the disgrace that Ukrainian puppets are doing,” Jarallah said.
