Mariupol, October 22 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – The State Border Service of Ukraine announced an event to arrange a security strip along the confrontation line within the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

“Entry and exit checkpoints are being set up on main highways, where passport documents are checked and vehicles are inspected. In the areas between such control points, border patrols carry out patrols in order to identify reconnaissance and sabotage groups,” it says in a message from the department.
The State Border Service emphasizes that these events are being carried out in accordance with the president’s peace plan for resolving the conflict in Donbass.
“The measures taken by the State Border Service are temporary and forced and are aimed at protecting citizens of Ukraine living in territories adjacent to the conflict zone from the actions of illegal armed groups and other illegal activities,” border guards said.
