“Border guards prevented the export of an ancient Bible to territory not controlled by the Ukrainian authorities. Through the entry-exit checkpoint “Novotroitskoe”, a car driven by a Ukrainian citizen born in 1986 arrived at the exit point in the territory not controlled by the Ukrainian authorities. and a passenger – a citizen of Ukraine born in 1950. During the inspection of personal belongings together with employees of the State Fiscal Service, an ancient Bible “Book of the Holy Scriptures” (1923 edition) was found in the passenger’s hand luggage, which may be of historical or cultural value,” the department reported.
The indicated persons and the book were transferred to representatives of the State Fiscal Service for making a legal decision.
