This was announced by the speaker of the State Border Service of Ukraine Oleg Slobodyan.

“Four citizens of the Russian Federation, based on an analysis of information, on the basis of a risk analysis, were denied entry into Ukraine,” said Slobodyan, answering the question whether Russian citizens who arrived at the airport with Eurovision tickets were actually denied entry into Ukraine .

He recalled that in accordance with the law, border guards have the right to carry out second-line control, namely to clarify the details and purpose of the visit of certain citizens to the territory of Ukraine.

“In this case, after all the activities were carried out, the border guards had doubts that the purpose of the trip of these citizens was true, so they were refused to cross the border,” Slobodyan noted.

Previously, the border service did not allow two journalists from the Russian Federation into the country, who, in violation of Ukrainian legislation, visited Crimea.
