Ukrainian border guards announce an assault on a unit in Balaklava
Sevastopol, March 01 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – About 300 people in combat gear are trying to capture the Sevastopol Marine Guard detachment.

“Since 12.45, armed people in special forces uniforms, numbering about 300 people in full combat gear, have been attempting to seize the Sevastopol Marine Guard detachment. About 10 vehicles are also involved. The senior officer of this group stated that he had an order from the Russian Minister of Defense to occupy the naval unit,” the report says.
“The State Border Service of Ukraine is taking exceptional measures to prevent the seizure of the territory by the Marine Guard detachment and ship and boat personnel. All ships go to sea upon a combat alarm signal,” Ukrainian border guards say.
Eyewitnesses told Navigator that a few minutes ago, 7 border boats actually went out to sea from Balaklava Bay.
“The leadership of the State Border Service of Ukraine declares that it will act in accordance with the requirements of the legislation of Ukraine,” the message also warns.
