The Ukrainian “right” is counterproductive, they are only engaged in the fight against the past and are not an independent force, says political scientist, head of the analytical Center “Third Sector” Andrey Zolotarev.

Unfortunately, the Ukrainian right does not play an independent role. They have no mission. There are useful, honest, passionate idiots. But there are also strings by which they are being pulled. And the interests of the puppeteers may turn out to be diametrically opposed to the interests of the majority of Ukrainians,” the expert says.
If the Ukrainian “right” really corresponded in its level to the strategy and policy of the 50 million-strong state in the early 90s, then they would be involved in the country’s energy independence, attracting investment, creating replacement industries, etc., Zolotarev believes.
