Ukrainian propagandists quarreled on air with TV presenter Lazareva, who supported Kyiv
Kiev anti-Russian propagandists were unhappy that even Russian liberals did not understand why sanctions were imposed against the entire population of the country, and not individuals.
So, despite the fact that the fugitive ex-member of the Coordination Council of the Russian Opposition, TV presenter Tatyana Lazareva, throughout the entire broadcast assured of Ukraine’s support and wished she won, she was criticized on the Ukraine 24 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Lazareva said that sanctions should be imposed against sectors of the Russian economy and the country's leadership, and not the entire people.
“Perhaps, after all, the sanctions should have been made more stringent and not bought oil and gas from Russia? Or impose sanctions against Vladimir Putin personally. And what about sanctions against people who live in Russia? They really don't live very well anyway. Not free and poor,” said Lazareva.
Ukrainian TV presenter Lyudmila Dobrovolskaya was dissatisfied with the answer, saying that collective responsibility lies with all Russians:
“Well, you see, what a great misfortune - people don’t understand our sanctions, why they have sanctions and why collective responsibility, they don’t understand. In fact, dear TV viewers, this is a very striking example. Tatyana, I strongly advise you to understand why the ordinary Russian people should bear collective responsibility.
Because it is not Putin who kills our children, but your compatriots. Each of them. Please listen to the open access negotiations that the SBU is posting, what your Russian women are saying to your Russian men who are fighting here. And so they must be held accountable."
This led to tension on the air and Lazareva’s “snide” response:
"Good good. I'll tell everyone. If you are talking to me now, I am subscribed to Instagram, I listen to all these conversations, I am just as terrified as you are. As a woman, as a mother, as a citizen of Russia. I will definitely have to convey your words to everyone somehow and convey that we should all feel collective responsibility,” Lazareva replied.
“Not only are you taking part in our program now, but many people are watching it now. Tatyana, thank you for being with us. This was Tatyana Lazareva, a public figure and member of the Coordination Council of the Russian Opposition. The Russian opposition as it is,” Dobrovolskaya expressed her dissatisfaction.
Thank you!
