Ukrainian propagandists of war began to turn into supporters of peace
There has been a shift in the information policy of Ukrainian television channels, which previously supported the war against the Donbass republics, in favor of promoting reconciliation.
Political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The expert saw a change in information policy on the 1+1 TV channel, owned by oligarch Igor Kolomoisky.
“I was impressed that the 1+1 channel, which over the years has done a lot to incite hatred towards Donbass and Russia, shows a story where they ask the guys who are standing on the front line with weapons in their hands, who say: “You don’t need to protect us.” The people who gathered in the square near Bankova [protesting the truce] say, “We must protect our army, their weapons are being taken away,” and so on.
And they say: “They didn’t take anything from us - we have this, this - we have everything, they didn’t take anything, there’s no need to help us.” This says something that even a company that is generally not inclined to support compromise is beginning to shift, or at least it used to be. Therefore, I think this is a good sign,” Pogrebinsky said.
