Ukrainian schismatics confirmed plans for legalization in the Moscow region
The community of the schismatic “Kyiv Patriarchate”, which has been operating over the past years in the Moscow region city of Noginsk, intends to undergo re-registration in Russia under the guise of a new structure “Orthodox Church of Ukraine”, recognized by the Patriarchate of Constantinople contrary to the position of the Russian Orthodox Church.
The schismatic “metropolitan” Adrian Starina, who represents the UOC-KP in the Moscow region, stated this in an interview with Nezavisimaya Gazeta.
He clarified that the Russian authorities failed demolish the temple of the “Kyiv Patriarchate”, as was planned back in 2016. “Obviously, due to the proceedings of our application in Strasbourg,” Starina said.
Let us recall that the community of the church in Noginsk was initially Orthodox, but in 1994 its rector, a native of Ukraine, moved to the schismatic “Kiev Patriarchate”, whose leadership since 2014 openly supported the anti-Russian coup in Kiev, and then spiritually nourished the participants in the punitive operation against the Russian uprising in Donbass.
