Ukrainian schismatics managed to quarrel at the start of the creation of a “united Church”
The head of the non-canonical Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church (UAOC), Makariy, spoke about the dispute for power in the future independent Ukrainian church with the head of the non-canonical “Kyiv Patriarchate” Filaret, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He announced this on air on the ZIK TV channel.
Macarius said that he was stunned by Filaret’s attitude during the celebration of the Intercession.
“Patriarch Filaret turned to me and said, “We urgently need to convene a Council.” I tell him: “There is no charter for convening a cathedral” - “But I have a charter.” “I have one too, but I need to make one charter out of two charters” - “No, it will be my charter.” The fifteenth year is repeated,” explained the head of the UAOC.
Macarius also said that Filaret refused to discuss the name of the future unified church.
“The name already exists, and you need to join the church, which is headed by the patriarch (that is, Filaret - Ed.),” Makariy quoted the words of the head of the UOC-KP.
