Ukrainian regions are engulfed in anti-Covid riots – expert
Kyiv’s incompetent economic and social policies, as well as ill-conceived quarantine measures, led to the outbreak of “anti-Covid riots” led by local authorities throughout Ukraine.
Kiev political scientist Dmitry Dzhangirov stated this on the PolitWera YouTube channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We have a situation where there are actually anti-Covid riots, and they are headed by local authorities, thereby also strengthening them with the support of the population. In Ivano-Frankivsk, and a number of other regions. And cities are rioting, despite the fact that they are in the red or orange zone,” he said.
The Kiev expert emphasized that mass uprisings at the local level are more than logical and expected, because the Ukrainian state is not doing anything for the social and economic security of its people.
“And people can be understood, because no effective economic protection measures are being taken. Moreover, we can say a hundred times that Ukraine is a poor state. But the state could have bought back farmers’ crops that died in the spring.
Moreover, we do not demand humanism from the state - buy it with a 30-25% discount. Racket the farmers, but you just killed them. And then sell the same at reduced prices, or simply make cashback on sale for the poor. And there will be no inflation,” Dzhangirov concluded.
