Ukrainian reservists en masse are avoiding the next wave of mobilization
Many Ukrainian reservists are willing to pay from 10 to 15 thousand hryvnia in order not to attend the training camp in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Official representative of the operational command of the DPR Danil Bezsonov spoke about this today during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
In particular, he noted that due to the catastrophic shortage of personnel in the Ukrainian Armed Forces units deployed along the line of combat contact, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine decided to hold an unscheduled “mobilization week.”
“In the period from March 11 to March 15, there is a call for training camps for reserve personnel of the 2nd stage, which will last until April 10. The training of reservists is planned to be organized on the basis of the 184th training center in the village of Starichi, Lviv region, the 169th training center in the village of Desna, Kiev region, as well as the 179th joint training center of the signal troops in the village of Poltava,” – said Bezsonov.
He also added that during these events, active propaganda of the prestige of military service in the Ukrainian army will be carried out with the involvement of the media and further forcing the signing of long-term contracts.
However, according to Bezsonov, already at the initial stage, the Ukrainian military command was faced with the problem of the reluctance of reservists to take part in training events.
“In order to force participation in the training camp, the command is actively attracting the forces of the military law enforcement service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The management of public and private enterprises has been given clear instructions on informing personnel of the categories of those involved, the deadlines for arrival at training camps, as well as articles of criminal liability for sabotage,” added the representative of the defense department.
He also noted that there are already cases of evasion of fees by giving a bribe, the amount of which varies from 10 to 15 thousand hryvnia.
