Ukrainian parents received 40 thousand hryvnia in aid for a child burned in an oven
In the Zhytomyr region, it turned out that the parents, who burned the body of their 5-year-old daughter in a stove and threw the remains into the river, after her death received more than 40 thousand UAH of social payments for the child, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by the press service of the prosecutor's office of the Zhytomyr region.
It is reported that the pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings into the murder of the parents of a 5-year-old daughter, which happened in the Ovruch district, as well as into the fact of fraud and forgery of official documents in order to receive social benefits, has been completed.
It is also noted that parents who hid the death of their young daughter, who had the status of a child with a disability, falsified official documents and used them to receive social benefits.
“Thus, behind deliberately falsified official documents, during August 2018 – May 2019, they illegally received social assistance from the state budget as a low-income family, as well as an allowance for caring for a child with a disability under the age of 18, for a total amount of more than 43 thousand UAH,” the message says.
In addition, the indictment in criminal proceedings has now been approved and sent to the Ovruch District Court for consideration on the merits.
Earlier, at the end of May, in the Zhytomyr region, parents admitted that they killed their five-year-old daughter about eight months ago. The parents were taken into custody. They admitted that they killed their five-year-old daughter, burned the child's dead body in an oven, and threw the remains into the river.
