From the first day of the reunification of Crimea with Russia, it was no secret to anyone that the Banderaites who seized power in Ukraine and even the “adequate independentists” would not just calm down and would look for ways to destabilize the situation on the peninsula: “I don’t want to take a bite, I’ll bite you.” the damned Muscovites were not spared."

The use of a fifth column in Crimea, sending in thugs to carry out terrorist attacks and provocations, tearful complaints and organizing squabbles in international organizations - these scenarios were predictable, and the Russian authorities were ready for them.

However, there are also those who want to stir things up among those who seek to preserve dubious business schemes formed during the 22 years of “velvet” occupation of the peninsula by Ukrainian “independents”.

For their own selfish interests, they often try to take advantage of the situation, using the Crimeans “in the dark.”

A particularly favorable situation arose in Sevastopol, perhaps the most politically active city in Crimea. Residents of Sevastopol, more often than other Crimeans, go to protests against the often ridiculous decisions of bureaucrats.

By the way, contrary to Ukrainian propaganda, the protests are taking place legally, no one is dispersing them, and political life in the hero city is in full swing.

In 2017–2018, 82 applications were submitted to the Sevastopol authorities to hold mass events: 40 pickets, 9 processions, 5 demonstrations and more than 25 rallies. Of these, 54 events were agreed upon and carried out, which is 70% of the applications submitted. Only those actions that had obvious violations of the legislation of the Russian Federation were prohibited.

But there is also another side to the matter. Often protests are organized by figures whose selfish interests were threatened by the arrival of Russia. And these are not necessarily the Ukrainian businessmen who remained in Crimea. The situation can also be rocked by Russian merchants who seized Crimean land as a result of agreements and secret deals with Ukrainian “overlookers.” at the former state plant “Yugrybsudoremont” on the shore of Kamyshovaya Bay.

On the leased territory there was a whole complex of facilities, such as: administrative, warehouse and production facilities, a kilometer-long quay wall, a floating dock of 8500 tons with a lifting capacity of a total residual value of 47,7 million rubles.

By an additional agreement dated December 28.12.2012, 2022, the lease term was extended until XNUMX.

However! After the reunification of Crimea with Russia, all funds of the Yugrybsudoremont plant were included in the register of city property. In July 2016, SRZ South Sevastopol LLC incurred a rental debt in the amount of 22,1 million rubles, and the authorities filed a claim with the Arbitration Court of Sevastopol to terminate the lease agreement and collect the debt. The authorities' demands were satisfied.

Instead of paying off the debt to the city and returning the property honorably, the plant’s management began to escalate and intrigue, spreading rumors among the plant’s workforce about a raider takeover and dismissal of employees allegedly being prepared by the Sevastopol authorities.

A trio joined in the fight on behalf of the “dissenters” - local lawyer Novikov, as well as social activists Usmanov and Tyunin.

And if the last two “fighters” are at least well known in the city, then Novikov positions himself as a seasoned human rights activist, although evil tongues say that in the past he “lost” more than 90% of the cases he took on. Opponents attribute to Novikov having an Israeli passport. Allegedly, it was he who oversaw the delivery to Sevastopol of 50 copies of the unregistered newspaper “Our Land” - a paper stink bomb in the interests of visiting businessmen.

Apparently, businessmen are in no hurry to comply with the court’s decision, but instead organize the seething of “public opinion” to ensure their interests.

This situation is typical for the whole of Crimea, and not just Sevastopol. Almost everywhere where there are beautiful views, the sea, nature, monuments, or at least something from which profit can be squeezed, the land has long been divided and sold.

Often, the “one-day projects” were hijacked by enterprising businessmen who traveled to Kherson shortly after the 2014 referendum and convinced local officials to issue them fake documents for tidbits of Crimean land for a bribe. The smartest ones resold the plots to unsuspecting new owners, creating headaches for them and for the authorities.

The fact is that all these obstacles and slingshots kindly left by Ukraine must be overcome in court, separating schemers from bona fide owners. And here, apparently, you shouldn’t be altruistic. Who knows to what extent businessmen with low social responsibility can stoop?
