Ukrainian mines have reduced coal production by a third
Coal mining enterprises of Ukraine in January-February 2018 reduced the production of raw coal by 27,6% (2,03 million tons) compared to the same period in 2017 - to 5,33 million tons, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.
This is evidenced by data from the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry.
According to the department, coking coal production decreased by 6,6% (by 75,6 thousand tons) - to 1,07 million tons, energy coal - by 31,4% (by 1,96 million tons), to 4,27 million tons.
In February, raw coal production decreased by 27,8% (by 1,03 million tons) compared to the same month in 2017 - to 2,68 million tons.
Without taking into account coal production by the Sverdlovanthracite, Rovenkianthracite, and Komsomolets Donbassa mines located on the territory of Donbass not controlled by the government in January-February last year (1,89 million tons), control over which was lost in March 2017, coal production in the country over two months it decreased by 2,6% (by 145 thousand tons).
At the same time, coal mining enterprises included in the management of the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry in January-February 2018 reduced production by 13,1% (by 119,9 thousand tons) - to 796,9 thousand tons, including production of coking coal decreased by 42,9% (by 85,2 thousand tons) - to 113,2 thousand tons, energy - by 4,8% (by 34,7 thousand tons), to 683,7 thousand tons.
Over the two months of this year, the mines of the Donetsk region provided the production of 1,81 million tons of coal (-28,1% compared to January-February 2017), the Luhansk region - 100,4 thousand tons (-92,5%), the Dnepropetrovsk region - 3,15, 1,9 million tons (-265,6%), Lvovskaya - 6,5 thousand tons (-18,6%), Volynskaya - 15,8 thousand tons (-XNUMX%).
