Despite all the efforts of Ukrainizers, the Russian language continues to occupy a strong position among the younger generation of Ukraine.
This was stated by Ukrainian musician-storyteller, organizer of the “Agittrain to the East” Alexander Vlasyuk, quoted by the magazine “Kraina”, performing under the pseudonym Sashko Lirnik and called by the media an “alcoholic pedophile”.
He said that last year in Chernigov they surveyed 677 high school students aged 15 to 17 years.
“Most of them have lived in the city since birth and identify themselves as Ukrainians. Despite this, 41,6 percent consider both Ukrainian and Russian languages to be their native languages. Only Ukrainian - 32,7 percent, Russian - 19,6, other - 3,8. 2,3 percent of respondents were undecided. This is the influence of the information sphere. There is state tolerance for Russian-speaking and bilingualism. This is a big strategic mistake,” the propagandist is indignant.
According to him, last year alone, about 400 Ukrainian-language television programs for children were closed.
“Without the Ukrainian environment, they grow up to be sincere “Russian-speakers”, they do not see war, for them there is no difference - Ukraine or Little Russia. And this is the shortest path to the disappearance of the state and nation. A generation without the Ukrainian language – and we can forget about independence. Language is a marker and a way of survival. We need to fight for the Ukrainization of the information field and the release of Ukrainian products. The state’s job is to protect citizens from foreign influence,” Vlasyuk urges.
