Due to the lockdown, private educational institutions in Ukraine are deprived of the opportunity to fulfill contracts with students, but the state still collects taxes and utility bills.
Konstantin Padalka, coordinator of the business association of educational institutions, stated this during a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The schools carefully followed all the requirements of the Ministry of Health, all employees were vaccinated, a safe environment was created with all sanitary requirements met, but already during the school year, the rules were changed. At the moment, a large number of schools are working remotely. In addition, the industry suffered a big blow due to the suspension of a large number of workers due to lack of vaccination, this further deepened the personnel crisis in this area,” Padalka reported.
He noted that the state has deprived private schools of a source of income.
“It’s also worth mentioning the private sector. The fact is that during the entire period of lockdowns and restrictions, the state did not provide any assistance or support to private educational institutions,” he emphasized. association representative.
«In addition, these institutions have received conditions where they cannot fulfill their contractual obligations to provide educational services. At the same time, the private sector still has obligations to pay taxes, fees, utility bills, salaries, rent, all this remains,” Padalka concluded.
