Ukrainian security forces and militias accuse each other of provocations
Kyiv, December 16 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – The situation in the ATO zone remains consistently tense: the ATO headquarters recorded 12 cases of shelling of positions of Ukrainian troops by militias, the security forces press center reports.

The Lugansk, Donetsk and Debaltsevo directions remain the areas of greatest tension. “The settlements of Shchastya, Debaltsevo, Stary Aidar, Stanitsa Luganskaya, and Trekhizbenka fell into the zone of shelling by enemy artillery and mortars,” Ukrainian security officials claim. “At the Donetsk airport, bandits tried 5 times to provoke our “cyborgs” to open fire by firing at their positions with small arms,” the ATO headquarters said.
In turn, the militias inform about shelling of their positions by the Ukrainian military.
“They are shelling our forces in Valuysky, near Kolesnikovka, near Olkhov. If the Ukrainian Armed Forces do not calm down, the Grad and Uragan MLRS will be used. Our positions are being shelled from mortars, howitzers, self-propelled guns and tanks. The Ukrainian Armed Forces completely control Trekhizbenka. Nothing has been delivered there for a long time, since the VSN have created an operational environment with the help of the DRG and partisans,” the militia said in a message on social networks.
