Ukrainian security forces left strategic checkpoint No. 31: the 24th brigade falls into the cauldron
Kyiv, January 20 (PolitNavigator, Alexandra Ignatieva) – The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine confirms that the ATO forces have withdrawn from the 31st checkpoint in the Lugansk region.

“As a result of the battle, the ATO forces retreated from the 31st checkpoint to a strong point, and, having received reinforcements (ammunition), continue to fight in order to restore their positions and drive the enemy out of there,” the Ministry of Defense says on its Facebook page.
Blogger Sergei Ivanov announced the complete destruction of checkpoint No. 31. “After a six-hour shelling, tanks came out of everything possible. Ours burned one, but it is still not clear how many forces and equipment are involved in this operation, which aims to encircle the village of Krymskoye, locking in the 24th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces based there,” he claims.
As PolitNavigator reported, earlier people's deputy, commander of the Donbass regiment Semyon Semenchenko announced the capture of National Guard checkpoint No. 31 and the storming of checkpoint No. 29 in the Lugansk region.
