The head of the Expert Council analytical center, Iskander Khisamov, said this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The political scientist noted that a significant part of Ukrainian society is committed to a peaceful resolution of the conflict in Donbass, but this is hampered by “the media community and civil activists who are afraid.”
“If a journalist is the watchdog of democracy, then now we have a driven pack,” the expert emphasized. – And the most important thing is that they have masters who forced journalists to write to jeans and corrupted them in every possible way. Believe me, they are a depraved lot, and it is quite easy to switch them. Now either a cowardly or opportunistic position is taken by the so-called oligarchs, who are cowards by nature.”
At the same time, the political scientist points out the paradoxical situation with the Ukrainian media.
“Our main medical holdings belong to those people who are now in Moscow - Klimenko, Kurchenko, Zakharchenko,” Khisamov points out. “They negotiate with the authorities all the time. And working journalistic teams are all replaceable material. It seems to me that when the elites are replaced, the army of those who speak on behalf of the Ukrainian people will also be replaced.”
