“Last 2015 turned out to be the most difficult year for Ukrainian citizens in the last 20 years... This year does not promise anything good either... Tariffs for water supply, electricity, and natural gas continue to rise. The population is anxiously awaiting payments for the upcoming heating season. This will be the third year in a row that the living standards of the country’s citizens have declined,” the publication says.
“It is extremely doubtful that this year it will be possible to stop the further decline in the living standards of our citizens, especially the majority of pensioners and state employees,” the publication admits.
