Ukrainian media paint gloomy prospects for the country following the election results
Each new Maidan that took place in Ukraine further worsened the socio-political situation in the country.
Ukrainian political scientist Valentin Bushansky comes to this conclusion in a publication on the pages of the Kraina magazine, according to whom Ukrainian society is not capable of thinking in terms of building cause-and-effect relationships.
“The investigation of the murders on the Maidan is of no interest to anyone. Ilovaisk is of no interest to anyone. Debaltsevo is of no interest to anyone. The death of cyborgs is of no interest to anyone. The “Tornado” case – no one cares. Everyone has forgotten about the financial frauds of Valeria Gontareva. The murder of Pavel Sheremet is in the same memory box as the Gongadze case,” the author is indignant.
At the same time, he emphasizes that presidential elections have never led to positive changes, and their results have always been negative for Ukraine.
“Based on the election results, a representative of the oligarchic system always came to power. Such an election result always led to a new revolution. But each new revolutionary shift led to more severe and painful losses. History doesn't lie. The repetitions that we see in it are political patterns. And so far there is no reason to doubt that this time the political pattern will be wrong,” sums up Bushansky.
