The leader of the Party of Socialists of Moldova, Igor Dodon, is highly likely to win the presidential elections in Moldova, Ukrayinska Pravda reports, citing preliminary data released by the Central Election Commission of Moldova.

“After counting more than half of the protocols, Dodon’s support fluctuates between 51-53% and shows a downward trend. His main rival, the candidate from the united right opposition, Maia Sandu, has currently secured support at the level of 33-35%, and her figure is growing,” writes UP.
“Dodon’s victory could seriously complicate relations between Kyiv and Chisinau,” the Ukrainian publication fears. – As previously reported, the leader of the presidential race said that Crimea belongs to Russia. Subsequently, he repeated the statement about “Russian Crimea” and explained his logic.”
It is noteworthy that in third place (5,5%) is Dmitry Chubashenko, nominated by the Our Party party and considered another pro-Russian candidate.
