Ukrainian media reported a failed assassination attempt on Poroshenko. The SBU denied everything
Ukrainian media reported on Monday evening about a foiled attempt on Petro Poroshenko’s life during his yesterday’s visit to Avdiivka – the so-called ATO zone. The message was distributed with reference to the press service of the SBU.
As stated, a group of people preparing an assassination attempt on Poroshenko was disarmed, two people were killed - they were allegedly participants in Mikhomaidan and clashes with the police in Kyiv.

“They had with them a Steyr-Manlicher sniper rifle with an optical sight, a Makarov pistol with two magazines, two rocket-propelled anti-tank grenades, two hand grenades and three RGD-2 with a fuse,” the report said.
Soon, SBU press secretary Elena Gitlyanskaya denied the information.
“The Security Service of Ukraine denies the information that was allegedly distributed from the press service’s email on the evening of October 23.
A fake message about the SBU warning of an assassination attempt on the President of Ukraine was sent from one of the neighboring countries from anonymousemail@orbit.eternalimpact.info with a real substitution of the address of the department's press service.
No facts of hacking of official email and web resources of the Security Service of Ukraine have been recorded,” Gitlyanskaya said.
