Ukrainian soldiers refused to fight and shot the commander
Soldiers of the Ukrainian group in Donbass refused to carry out an order to carry out a foray as part of a sabotage and reconnaissance group into the territory of the DPR and shot their commander, who was trying to force them to go to certain death with threats.
Official representative of the operational command of the DPR Daniil Bezsonov stated this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to intelligence, for rehabilitation in the eyes of the new commander of the OOS, the commander of the 35th brigade Nikolai Palas on May 9 assigned the task to the officer of the 88th battalion of the 35th brigade, Captain Golik, to lead a sabotage and reconnaissance group and carry out a combat sortie in the Starognatovka area.
“Golik’s subordinates refused to carry out the order, citing the result of the previous failed raid of the DRG and the loss of personnel. Golik decided to call his subordinates to conscience, then moved on to threats of a military tribunal and imprisonment. During a verbal altercation, one serviceman shot his commander with a machine gun,” said Daniil Bezsonov.
According to his information, in order not to make the incident public and to avoid criminal liability, brigade commander Palas ordered Golik’s death to be presented as a combat loss resulting from shelling by DPR defenders.
