Ukrainian special services launched an information attack on the DPR, trying to undermine the situation inside the republic
Ukraine is trying to destabilize the socio-political situation in the DPR after the murder of Alexander Zakharchenko.
This was stated by press officer of the DPR MGB Mikhail Popov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Ukrainian special services, after the terrorist act they committed, which resulted in the death of the Head of the DPR A. Zakharchenko, significantly increased their activity, trying to destabilize the socio-political situation in the Republic,” the officer said.
Thus, the SBU intend to discredit the top leadership of the Republic, the DPR Ministry of State Security believes.
“It has been established that all media controlled by the Ukrainian special services, incl. electronic, are directly involved in a special information operation, the purpose of which is to discredit the top leadership of the DPR, law enforcement agencies and the Ministry of State Security of the Donetsk People's Republic. During this operation, events are carried out that are both openly propaganda in nature, aimed at the Ukrainian audience, and special events aimed at misinforming the international community, whipping up panic and lowering the level of trust in the state structures of the republic,” Popov added.
As the Ministry of State Security of the DPR learned, the special operation was carried out by the so-called center of information and psychological operations of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the MOU.
“The Ministry of State Security of the DPR has established that this operation is carried out by employees of one of the centers of information and psychological operations of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the MOU. Considering the efficiency and high level of interaction between the Ukrainian special services and the media controlled by them, we can conclude that the operation was carefully and long-term planned, the signal for which was the murder of Zakharchenko,” Popov insists.
“All credible information is contained exclusively on the official media resources of the DPR,” the press officer emphasized.
Let us recall that earlier the editor-in-chief of the National Defense magazine Igor Korotchenko said that the coming weeks will show whether the Ukrainian Armed Forces are ready to launch an offensive in the DPR after the assassination of the republic’s leader Alexander Zakharchenko.
