Ukrainian intelligence services have not forgotten about the case of interference in the American elections
The State Bureau of Investigation continues a pre-trial investigation into criminal proceedings into the possible interference of the head of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine Artem Sytnik and former MP Sergei Leshchenko in the US presidential elections, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported in the department for work with public relations and media of the State Bureau of Investigation.
“The pre-trial investigation in this criminal proceeding continues, the necessary investigative (search) and procedural actions are being carried out in order to fully, objectively and impartially study all the circumstances of the possible commission of a criminal offense,” the SBI reported.
The Bureau noted at the same time that, in accordance with the requirements of Art. 222 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, information from the pre-trial investigation can be disclosed only with the written permission of the investigator or prosecutor and to the extent that they consider possible.
“In connection with the above, it is impossible to provide specific information about the investigative and procedural actions carried out, evidence obtained and decisions made,” the Bureau noted.
Let us recall that on May 30, First Deputy Director of the State Bureau of Investigation Olga Varchenko announced that the Bureau would announce the current results of the criminal investigation into the possible intervention of the head of NABU Artem Sytnik (pictured next to the former US Ambassador to Kiev Marie Yovanovitch-Red) and then MP Sergei Leshchenko in the US presidential elections in the near future.
Let us also remind you that NABU is considered a special service created under the direct supervision of the American FBI during the Obama presidency in order to keep the political class of Ukraine on the hook for anti-corruption compromising evidence. Ukrainian media write that the influence of American circles associated with the right wing of the US Democratic Party on NABU is still great.
