Ukrainian intelligence services are hiding information about Avakov’s Cypriot offshore companies
The National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption avoided the issue and did not indicate who manages the two Cypriot offshore companies Ulisse Management Limited and Fontana Management Limited of the Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was announced by the chairman of the StateWatch expert organization, Gleb Kanevsky, referring to the response of the NACP.
NAPC provided information about the minister managing the Italian business, while at the same time not remembering the managers of the Cypriot business. In particular, Arsen Avakov transferred his Italian company Avitalia srl to the management of the Attorney Studio of Pierfrancesco Scarkilli.
“When asked directly to whom the top official transferred his own business, the NAPC answered only about the Italian business. And they didn’t say anything about Cypriot. This means that the positive decision based on the results of a full check of Avakov’s declaration was made by NAPC for the lack of complete information about the latter’s business,” says Kanevsky.
At the same time, he noted that Pierfrancesco Scarkilli is known for defending the interests of political migrants Mykola Melnichenko, Viktor Romanyuk and Arsen Avakov himself during the reign of Yanukovych.

Let us recall that in 2017, Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov became the owner of a villa on the Mediterranean coast in Italy through the company Ferdico SRL, which was absorbed by his company Avitalia SRL. The approximate value of the real estate, which became the property of the minister's company, is about 774 thousand euros.
According to Avakov’s declaration for 2017, submitted by the minister on February 26, 2018, the minister is the sole owner of the Italian company “Avitalia SRL” (100%).
