Such data were obtained from the results of a public opinion survey conducted in Ukraine by sociological companies SOCIS, KIIS, Rating and Razumkov Center.
Thus, 44,8 percent of respondents support integration into the EU. Movement towards Russia and the CIS – 9,7 percent of respondents. At the same time, 40 percent of respondents prefer their own path of development and reliance on their own resources.
Such results did not make pro-European-minded Ukrainian journalists very happy.
“It’s a pity there is no age breakdown for those who are for the EU. Because this 40% of the “special path” is an excellent niche for old/new “strong business executives”. Well, or “housekeepers,” commented on the results of the survey in his blog the editor of the “Insider” website Sergei Shcherbina, a former journalist for “Ukrainian Pravda.”
