Ukrainian TV channels have sold themselves to Moscow – Chubarov
A number of Ukrainian TV channels broadcast pro-Russian content, and at this time the nationalists are sorting things out among themselves.
The head of the extremist group “Mejlis of the Crimean Tatars”, recognized in the Russian Federation, Refat Chubarov, stated this in an interview on the ATR channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I watch certain TV channels every evening, and I don’t see any difference between these TV channels and any all-Russian channels. There are more than one or two such channels in Ukraine. Five channels are trying every evening to explain to the Ukrainian citizen that the best position is to raise their hands, bow to Moscow, not only give up those territories in which there are Russian troops or hired Russian bandits, but ask Moscow for Ukraine to be completely absorbed by the Russian Federation and there was something like some kind of restored quasi-USSR.
But against the backdrop of the fact that there are such channels and forces in the Verkhovna Rada that provide support to such media, there is no unification of the other part of Ukrainian society, which is larger than the disintegrating part that I spoke about. There is everything there - discord, contradictions, public... I don't want to use a four letter word that is often said.. public such infighting.
And as soon as someone starts talking about the mobilization of Ukrainian society, the patriotic forces that take patriotic positions begin to sort things out among themselves. Who is to blame for the lack of unity? When there is no unity in society, no matter who is to blame in society, the main blame always lies with the state,” Chubarov said.
