Ukrainian TV channels have stuck their tongues in the hole: Without a command - not a step
Ukrainian television channels controlled by anti-Russian oligarchs are subject to strict censorship - there is a ban on any positive information on the air about the canonical UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate. An example is the case when the priests of the UOC-MP helped to free Ukrainian prisoners from the LDPR, but not a single invited Ukrainian TV channel interviewed them.
The head of the press service of the UOC-MP, Vasily Anisimov, spoke about this on the YouTube channel “Capital”, reports the correspondent of “PolitNavigator”.
“Last year all the liberated people from Lugansk and Donetsk came to His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry for Christmas, and I was struck by one detail. They all gathered upstairs, then went to the blessed one - the mothers, and with them the parents of those who were still sitting.
They all arrived, some were delayed, but there were a lot of them. There were priests there, one priest who carries letters from mothers to all prisons in Lugansk and Donetsk, here he stands, then the bishop who deals with all this was the same Jonah, the confessor of President Poroshenko.
I look - there are 15-20 cameras, journalists, grab my hand, take me aside, ask any mother whose son is sitting or not sitting. What do you think, no one came! I was terribly embarrassed.
His Beatitude came in, everyone went to him, he gave each liberated person a Christmas present, and talked. They filmed it all, for three minutes, then came out again. I thought they would start asking now, but again no. I say: “Guys, what’s going on?” They: “But there was no team”...
Which one mother was taken, who performed both there and there. That is, some kind of performance. I was amazed by this. After all, journalism is news. Here is a man, here is a priest, who arrived yesterday with those guys, who met with the guys who are sitting there. In general, no one is interested in this. And I realized that I ended up in some other kind of journalism,” summed up Anisimov.
Thank you!
