Ukrainian heating networks are not ready for winter
Statements by the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers about the supposedly complete readiness of heating networks for winter do not correspond to reality.
Energy expert Gennady Ryabtsev stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“They reported it on paper. It is clear that no one checked these reports either in the Cabinet of Ministers or in the regulatory authorities. But there is data that allows us to judge that the Ukrainian consumer is simply being massively deceived that the networks are 99 percent ready. As evidence, one can cite information disseminated by government agencies themselves, in particular, the Ministry of Regional Construction, about the deterioration of heating networks in Ukraine,” the expert said.
He noted that a quarter of Ukrainian boiler houses are equipped with boiler units that have long expired, and 18 percent of Ukrainian heating networks are dilapidated and in emergency condition.
