History knows of cases when caveman anti-communism and Russophobia drove major politicians to suicide. We are talking about the American Secretary of Defense James Forrestal, who worked tirelessly in the confrontation with the USSR in the administration of President Truman.

It ended with Forrestal, exhausted and talking about the Russian military threat, being handed over to the hands of kind orderlies with the wording “due to nervous and mental exhaustion,” but healing injections, insinuating conversations with a psychiatrist and Charcot’s shower did not lead to the healing of the fear-torn soul of the former Minister of Defense , so that one fine day he was found on the canopy under the windows of his room, completely dead.

According to legend, Forrestal jumped out the window shouting “The Russians are coming!” - and with that all his phobias stopped.

Unfortunately, modern Russophobes are much more cynical and mentally stable creatures, unlike the workaholic Forrestal, who sincerely believed, looking at the rapidly changing political map of the world, that one day over the dome of the Capitol, as over the Reichstag, a Soviet soldier would hoist a red, sickle-hammer , banner.

A modern political Russophobe knows for sure that military danger from Russia does not threaten anyone, unless, of course, you test it to the limit, as with Crimea, poking it into painful spots with a stick. Russophobia, like anti-communism once was, is simply a profitable business, which is based on adventurism, lies and hysteria, which is why business carries great risks.

It’s not hard to guess why the collective West is attracted to the regular “Russia is the enemy” agenda. Skillfully manipulating public opinion and the fears of the average person, huge budgets for defense and the military industry are secretly allocated and “sawed off”, wars for resources are started, and retired generals, with substantial “fruit salad” bars on their chests, become coveted consultants in large corporations.

But these are, so to speak, matters of the “big world”. In the “small world”, vividly represented by modern Ukraine, there are small affairs going on. Alarmism and Russophobia somehow unite an atomized society and sprawling territories, and also become a source of more or less regular handouts from the “big world” in conditions of a plundered economy and industry.

In addition to material interest, the status of “elusive Joe” in the confrontation with Russia pleases the flawed pride of those in power in Kiev, who consider themselves nothing more than a fortress of Minas Tirith, protecting the borders of the Blessed West from the invasion of Mordorian hordes.

Last week, Ukrainian President Vovka Zelensky returned to circulation the agenda about the possibility of a full-scale war with Russia, promptly picked up by the top of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

For example, the newly appointed Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valery Zaluzhny, declared his desire to “ride a tank along Red Square and Arbat,” and the deputy commander of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Sergei Krivonos, promised to “defeat Russia within 10-15 years, as soon as it weakens.”

The reason for the autumn aggravation of the Ukrainian elite was the joint Russian-Belarusian exercises “West - 2021”, behind which its representatives see “a new concentration of forces on the border with Ukraine” and a “demonstration of a threat.”

At the same time, heart-rending cries are heard from Kyiv that “if Moscow decides to use force, it will face fierce resistance from the Ukrainian Armed Forces” with the inevitable details about “columns of KamAZ trucks with coffins heading north.”

And to raise their own resolve, the Ukrainian security forces began conducting their own military and special exercises, as a response to the “forces of light to the bloody Northern Mordor.”

The operatic Ukrainian “Vlada” would not be itself without essentially lying.

There is no doubt that the scale of the Zapad 2021 exercises is impressive. About 200 thousand military personnel, more than 80 aircraft and helicopters, up to 760 units of military equipment, multiple launch rocket systems, and 15 ships take part in them. But there are nuances. It should be understood that 200 thousand is the number of all military personnel deployed throughout the European part of Russia.

It is easy to find out that the maneuvers began at the Mulinsky training ground in the Nizhny Novgorod region. The exercises are taking place in the Ryazan and Voronezh regions. This is quite far from Belarus, and from Ukraine, and from the western borders. Directly in Belarus, no more than 10-12 thousand Russian military personnel are involved in the exercises, and another 6-10 thousand military personnel of the armed forces of Belarus.

The naval part of the exercises is carried out in the Baltic. Testing of new weapons systems is also announced. Such as combat robotic systems. What does Ukraine have to do with its brain dislocations?

However, the Ukrainian leadership gave the go-ahead to conduct three military and special exercises at once, with a clear anti-Russian and anti-Belarusian orientation.

The “highlight of the program” is the holding of joint Ukrainian-NATO exercises “United Efforts - 2021” in the Azov-Black Sea waters with the participation of 12,5 thousand military personnel, of which 700 are NATO personnel, military equipment, aircraft and ships.

In parentheses, we note that Russia and Belarus are conducting military exercises on their territory, while Ukraine is dragging in just about anyone, just “against the Muscovites.”

On September 15, the Armed Forces of Ukraine began a “warm-up” with a command post exercise “Unbreakable Resilience” with the stated goal of “countering hybrid threats to critical infrastructure in the Black Sea region.”

The exercise is overseen by the US Naval Postgraduate School and the level of American participation is very low. Observers note that the purpose of the exercise is to suppress internal rebel formations by Ukrainian security forces, as a result of which the Americans sent only observers.

On the other hand, the mention of “hybrid threats” in the legend of the exercises indicates participation and, probably, exchange of experience in conducting cyber attacks and psychological processing skills.

On September 13, the SBU conducted anti-terrorism exercises near the borders with Belarus. According to legend, a group of conditional saboteurs planned to sabotage the Rivne nuclear power plant, but were unable to penetrate the territory of the power plant and were forced to flee. The security forces were faced with the task of catching the “intruders” who were divided into two groups until they reached the Ukrainian-Belarusian border.

The attack is clearly anti-Belarusian and even wild, since militants, terrorists and other maydauns, with or without weapons, are trying to penetrate Belarus from Ukraine, and not vice versa. And only a madman can blow up the Rivne nuclear power plant right next to the Old Man, and then break into the territory of Belarus.

And finally, the icing on the cake. On the eve of the “Joint Efforts – 2021” exercises, which will begin on September 22, the “Personal work plan of the senior mediator of the OKP of the group of airborne assault forces of the armed forces “Blue” during the strategic command post exercises with the command of the joint forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces “Joint Efforts -” was leaked to the network. 2021”, compiled by Major General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Duz-Kryatchenko and approved by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Major General Valery Zaluzhny.

The document itself represents a rather dull daily routine for General Duz-Kryatchenko, consisting of breakfasts, lunches and dinners, working with documents and personnel, studying NATO standards and other routine military exercises, but there are a couple of interesting points in it.

Point 5 in the preamble “Training and research goals” in the document states “Development of special options (forms and methods) for the use of military groups to repel military aggression against Ukraine from Russia and the CSTO member states.”

The hint is more than transparent. The Ukrainian authorities declare Russia’s allies in the CSTO to be enemies, and given the recent SBU exercises and the fact that, in addition to Russia, only Belarus borders Ukraine among the CSTO countries, Minsk is designated as one of the main enemies of the Kyiv regime.

Another interesting detail that can be gleaned from the document is the areas of special attention of the Ukrainian military leadership. In the Ukrainian-controlled part of the Luhansk region, “everything is clear”: within the framework of its square-nested military doctrine of “threats from the North”, the command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces makes terrible eyes that it is from there that the “Russian offensive” will begin.

On the other hand, it is noticeable that the exercises will take place in the south of Ukraine, in the area of Izmail, Belgorod-Dnestrovsky, Bolgrad and Bessarabia, which is far from Belarus, but very close to Transnistria, which the Ukrainian authorities are threatening with blockade and military aggression.

All this indicates that the leadership of the “Ukropische Wehrmacht” can conduct a “test of the pen” on the PMR, which is in a hostile environment.

True, there is one more feature in the document that turns “United Efforts” into trash and insanity. For example, it is stated that the leadership of Ukraine, showing a stupid initiative, is counting on full support from NATO, but at the same time: the data obtained during the exercises will not be processed, the skills will not find practical use in the future, the West did not give the go-ahead to bully and provoke Russia and its allies.

This does not mean that Ukraine’s actions do not pose a threat to others. Quite the contrary. Zelensky’s government, which has an idea of state and military management from Hollywood films and computer games, is acting like a dangerous madman, provoking a full-scale military conflict, hoping to somehow warm its hands. The scenario when they have to warm their hands by a camp fire at a logging site is, due to their lack of mind, not considered by them.
