Ukrainian scientists put forward territorial claims to Poland and Russia
Ukraine must create a Great Coat of Arms for itself, which includes elements of the traditional symbolism of part of the Polish lands and Kuban, since historically these territories are supposedly Ukrainian and in the future may come under the control of Kyiv.
Doctor of Historical Sciences and social and political figure Pavel Gai-Nizhnik stated this during a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If we want to take into account the conciliarity of Ukrainian statehood and that all regions, including ethnic or administrative ones, be included, and then there will be no brawl for this reason, which can happen and will definitely happen, given the Ukrainian political situation.
Which emblems and which lands? Lemkoism? Kuban? Let's talk about geopolitics. In other words, those lands that are ethnically and historically ours, but do not belong to Ukraine now.
Or areas that, apparently, will be redrawn again, and then we will have to change the elements of the state emblem every 5 years depending on the political situation. This is not the result of the state of state symbols that should have been,” noted Gai-Nizhnik.
