The possible adoption by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of a bill introducing criminal liability for those who do not consider Russia an aggressor is another attempt to fool the country’s population out of fear that Ukraine will return to an alliance with Russia.

DPR National Assembly deputy Miroslav Rudenko told a PolitNavigator correspondent about this.

He is sure that such actions are a deliberate separation of the territory of southwestern Rus' from modern Greater Russia. This work benefits the forces of the Ukrainian elite, the oligarchs, the Nazis, who through their actions are trying to instill their ideology throughout the country.

“This bill can be called another “chewing gum” to fool the remnants of the population of Ukraine. This is not surprising, since these people will not leave voluntarily, and, while in power, they will compete with each other in Russophobic rhetoric and anti-Russian projects. They understand that if southwestern Rus' returns to its historical roots, then at least to what is useful to its people in terms of the economy, social and cultural ties, and so on. Ukraine will still return to Russia, to the idea of civilizational Russian unity. And these people are so determined to “break” these ties in every possible way, they were raised by force and brought to power by the West,” Miroslav Rudenko is sure.

In addition, the DPR National Assembly deputy recalled that, despite the fact that Kiev has been declaring its position towards Russia for the third year now, Ukraine has not completely severed its ties with it: they have purchased and continue to purchase coal, and they have not given up gas either .

“It will be interesting to watch how this law will be adopted in the Verkhovna Rada. We remember that recently an initiative was received from Ukrainian politicians to completely sever diplomatic relations with Russia, which is tantamount to a declaration of war. Those figures who are in the political arena of this circus love “rhetoric” more. When it comes to a matter for which there will be serious consequences, they begin to give up and postpone acceptance. We all remember how in September-October a bill was discussed with amendments that completely crossed out the Minsk process, and then it was shelved. It is clear that such actions are not aimed at anything good. They act for purely personal purposes and relationships and are ready to destroy Ukraine for the sake of their interests,” concluded Rudenko.
