Military expert Dmitry Tymchuk reported this on his Facebook page, referring to negotiations in government agencies.

“The bulk of Russian journalists (or rather, we are talking about Kremlin propagandists), who are actually accomplices in the crimes of pro-Russian terrorists in Donbass, exceed all boundaries of common sense in their anti-Ukrainian activities,” Tymchuk said.

In his opinion, Russian journalists are “directly involved in interrogations of Ukrainian security forces (and therefore, participation in kidnappings); direct participation in provocations against Ukrainian military personnel; conducting intelligence activities in the interests of gangs and Russian intelligence services.”

According to him, the Information Resistance group, during consultations with government agencies, raised the issue of “stopping such criminal activities on the part of the bulk of representatives of the Russian media.”

In particular, it was proposed that Russian journalists “carrying out such activities should be declared persona non grata and expelled from the country.”

“The mechanism is currently being discussed - because if, for example, in the case of their participation in interrogations or filming military facilities without permission, there are no problems in evidence of criminal activity, then in cases of anti-Ukrainian propaganda, legal nuances arise,” the expert clarified.

“Detain representatives of the Russian media who represent accreditation from organizations that today already have the legal status of terrorists - the “Donetsk People’s Republic” and the “Lugansk People’s Republic”, as well as the terrorist structures that are part of them. Charge them with participation in terrorist activities,” Tymchuk emphasized.

“To organize a unified accreditation to ensure the activities of all journalists working in the area of the anti-terrorist operation, at the ATO headquarters. The specialized group at the ATO headquarters is obliged to ensure the safety and efficiency of the work of media representatives. (Currently, government agencies are developing a corresponding mechanism). We would like to inform you that we have met with complete understanding from government agencies. The corresponding work is already underway,” Tymchuk said.

As Navigator reported, Justice Minister Pavel Petrenko said that the GPU would declare the “Donetsk People’s Republic” and the “Luhansk People’s Republic” terrorist organizations.
